In the words of George R.R. Martin, “winter is coming,” and 10Best is ready to hit the slopes. During our 2018 Ski & Snowboard Readers’ Choice Awards, we’re asking you to vote for your favorite alpine and Nordic ski areas, ski towns, hotels and après-ski hot spots across the United States and Canada.

You can vote in each category once per day, and voting ends on Monday, November 26 at noon ET.

Few activities can compare to cross-country skiing for the opportunity to experience a quieter, more serene side of winter (with a killer cardio workout to boot). While many alpine ski areas also offer Nordic trails, some of the best cross-country skiing is found at dedicated resorts. We asked a panel of Nordic ski experts to nominate their 20 favorite resorts, and now we need your help crowning a winner.

Temperatures are cooling and ski areas all across the USA and Canada are gearing up for their winter season. 10Best wants to know which North American ski resorts are the crème de la crème, so we’ve asked a panel of skiing and snowboarding experts to nominate their 20 favorite resorts – mountains that offer serious snowfall, varied terrain, lots of lift access and all the desirable amenities in town.

What makes a great ski town? Some would say it’s convenient access to the slopes, or maybe it’s the variety of restaurants, bars, shops and accommodations. Others might gravitate toward a small town vibe or historic atmosphere. What’s your favorite ski town?
